Summary
This project focuses on conceptualizing an invaluable and accessible educational platform utilizing data visualization. It touches on how students can acquire knowledge through structured courses and content, high-quality resources, and networking opportunities, helping them advance their career path. A user survey of 33 respondents had been conducted to better comprehend what students value in the learning sector. Students who took the survey valued flexibility, self-paced learning, interaction with instructors, and networking opportunities the most when taking online and real-life courses. The outcome lays the groundwork for an affordable and seamless user experience that provides meaningful education for students across the globe.
Problem
Users around the globe struggle to retain a positive and satisfying remote and physical learning experience due to underlying issues such as low retention and engagement rates. Various learning platforms host distinct programs; however, technical issues can lead to a poor experience that is less enjoyable and fails to properly leverage skill sets for those who want to substantially advance their careers or obtain deeper knowledge in a specific field with ease.
Solution
Skillbytes is an online educational platform that provides students reliable and accessible knowledge-based resources through remote or physical activities. The learning platform can enhance how individuals approach real-world problems by utilizing a diverse range of tools and technologies within a digestible and streamlined course structure. Furthermore, it will measure the amount of progress users have made and analyze student outcomes to gauge the effectivity surrounding the conceptual framework.
Research
User Survey
Appealing and informative visual aids are employed to best showcase the research aspects and security governance that revolve around the Skillbytes learning platform. Those can illustrate the goals and values of Skillbytes and exemplify storytelling techniques that resonate deeply with those who desire a functional and meaningful experience, demonstrating seamless information architectures while inspiring trust and loyalty among users.
The survey results depict how users can build their skill sets efficiently in online and physical courses, outputting a higher success rate when completing assignments relating to finding solutions, obtaining knowledge on modern techniques and cutting-edge technologies, and having networking opportunities with peers or instructors. The emergence of cutting-edge tools and technologies could affect numerous educational environments, transforming how students consume lessons in simplified and serviceable formats to pioneer innovative and versatile software and hardware.
Competitive Analysis
In order to give students the optimal experience to learn new information and leverage their skills effectively, the strengths and weaknesses of other educational platforms would be analyzed. This step would ensure the best elements are derived from competitors' design layouts and functionality to mitigate pain points and offer solutions that tackle issues students may face when using an online learning tool.

Data Governance
Privacy, Security, and Stewardship
In addition to only collecting necessary user data to refine the efficacy of competitors' learning platforms, Skillbytes operates a secure and stable system that collects, analyzes and synthesizes, and arranges all forms of content, which strictly aligns with federal privacy laws. Although it is utilized for acquiring a deeper understanding of the target demographic of the learning platform, users are free to not share their specific data that relates to their identity, email, or other personal information.

Results
Conducting the user research and creating the data visualizations gave me a broader and newfound perception of how optimized statistical data and passion-driven narratives can increase engagement for individuals who want to fulfill their specific needs. According to the survey, students believe that direct interaction with instructors and flexibility have the biggest impact on their educational experience. Having legitimate research studies and excellent visual elements can reassure users on the project's quality and provide a foundation that addresses problems with viable solutions.
The lessons adopted from this project will be applied to different future works, which focus on the development of blueprints for applications and specialize in another field that relates to the development of human abilities. Formatting strategies will also be incorporated to maintain a simplified organization of text and images within an infographic and contain persuasive key points that indicate what garners a wide audience.
